New Jersey does not recognize common law marriages. Until recent changes in our palimony laws over the last few years, palimony was a form of financial support often granted by a court to one party after the end of a financially dependent, non-marital relationship. Our palimony laws continue to change and become more and more complicated.

If you would like to speak to one of our attorneys about whether the current palimony laws might be favorable to your particular set of circumstances (and/or whether there are other options available for you), please call us at 973-993-9960 or click here to schedule a consultation.
