Sandra Lomenzo

Sandra ("Sandy") Lomenzo attended the University of Georgia and graduated magna cum laude, receiving her B.B.A. with honors in 2005.  Thereafter, Sandy attended Seton Hall University School of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2008.  Following her graduation, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Rudolph A. Filko, Presiding Judge of the Family Part in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Passaic County.  Since completing her clerkship in 2009, Sandy has practiced family and matrimonial law almost exclusively.

Sandy represents clients in all aspects of family law litigation, including divorce, custody, relocation, child support, alimony, college contribution, equitable distribution, post-judgment applications, enforcement applications, prenuptial agreements, mid-marriage agreements, appeals and mediation. With her educational background in finance, Sandy is well suited for complex divorce matters, including those involving the distribution of stock options and restricted stock units, business valuations, cash flow determinations and the dissipation of marital assets. She is a volunteer attorney with the Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project and the County College of Morris, Women’s Center Family Law Clinic and Family Law Workshop.

Life Outside the Office

Sandy lives in Essex County with her boyfriend. She is the oldest of three and is extremely close with her parents and siblings.  In her free time, Sandy loves spending time with family and friends, which always involves eating food for hours.  She enjoys the outdoors, even though she is highly allergic to almost every environmental allergen.  Working out is one of her favorite pastimes, but she never actually works out.  Above all else, Sandy’s greatest obsession is anything true crime.

You May Not Know

  • Sandy loves music.  Her greatest musical experience was with her best friend following Roger Waters’s tour through Italy, where she saw Waters perform The Wall at Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
  • One of Sandy’s biggest hobbies is selling clothes and other items on eBay.  It’s the greatest way to fund her clothing and shoe habits, and people really do buy anything.
  • Sandy drives to work every morning with an open mug filled with coffee.  She just can’t get over her aversion to travel mugs no matter how many times she spills coffee in her car.
  • Sandy challenges Michelle Levin to a celebrity gossip faceoff.  Celebrity gossip is second to Sandy’s true crime obsession.
  • Although she doesn’t have one yet, Sandy loves dogs, having grown up with a Miniature Schnauzer named Lacey and a Wire Fox Terrier named Skooter.  It is not uncommon for Sandy’s parents still to confuse the names of their children with the names of their dogs.
